Reinforced Web Security

The #1 reason people think our servers may be down is actually because they’ve been blocked by our server or network firewalls for too many bad logins in a short period of time.

We’ve now relaxed the firewall triggers, especially for mobile device users with too many bad logins, while updating our brute force protection system.

Also passwords (FTP, cPanel & email accounts) can include spaces, in addition to varying cases and characters, allowing safer passwords that are difficult for both humans and computers to decrypt.

Email Delay

This morning, a routine malware scan on one of our servers caused high server loads and as a result, stopped email from being sent and received. No email was lost, only inconvenienced. Some emails were delayed as much as 10 hours. It took our support team a few hours to resolve the issue and clear the email queue.

We recognize that we had this exact same issue affecting email service on July 9th, 2014.

Over the next two days, we will be investigating options so that we can avoid this issue occurring again. Please contact us if you have any concerns.
