If you want a simple web site with email (me@mydomain.com), the MEZZO package gives you 400mb of disk space, 20 GBs of monthly data transfer, the Control Panel and two handfuls of free email tools including Roundcube Webmail, anti-spam tools, email forwarding and a mailing list. The Mezzo Hosting package costs $15/month or $144/year (20% offer).
Our BASIC package includes 5 databases, 5 FTP accounts, 5 mailing lists, more parked domains, more email addresses along with 1 GB (1000 MB) of disk space. If you need a database or two and more diskspace, this is the best value. The Basic Package costs $25/month or $240/year (20% off).
The BUSINESS Package is for the web entrepreneur who plans on building more web sites. This package includes 4 GB (4000 MB) of disk space, twice the number of domain, email and database options of the Basic Package. You can also host 5 additional web sites within this package. This package only costs $40/month or $385/year.
The package supports lots of disk space (10 GB) and data transfer (100 GB/month), unlimited domain options and unlimited email addresses, 25 databases, 25 FTP accounts and 25 mailing lists. This package costs $75/month or $720/year.
What is Web Hosting?
Metaphorically speaking, web hosting is like renting an apartment. We maintain several servers (apartment buildings) and within these buildings are several suites (web hosting packages). Essentially you are renting web space in the same way you would rent physical space. You can pay month-to-month or prepay for the year.
A website resides in our building (server) and *most* maintenance – such as ensuring the lights stay on (server uptime) and the water keeps flowing (email) in and out of your apartment – is our responsibility as the landlord.
Using the same analogy, domain names are similar to having a phone number that directs people to your web site. Web design or web development would be similar to interior decorating for the apartment.
