Metaphorically speaking, our web hosting service is like renting an apartment. We maintain several servers (apartment buildings) and within these buildings are several suites (web hosting packages). Essentially you are renting web space in the same way you would rent physical space. You can pay month-to-month or prepay for the year.

A website resides in our server (building) and *most* maintenance - such as ensuring the lights stay on (server uptime) and the water keeps flowing (email) in and out of your apartment - is our responsibility as the landlord.

Web design or web development is similar to interior decorating for the apartment. We do not provide web design, but many of our clients offer it. Contact us if you need a web designer or programmer and we’ll give you a list of people and companies to contact.

We also offer our own web site builder tool called SiteXpress that can allow even the beginner to easily manage their web site. SiteXpress is a hosted web management program that allows several people to login online to create or edit your website. You can also use WordPress to manage your web site (MySQL required).

Using the same analogy, domain names are similar to having a phone number that directs people to your web site. We offer domain name registrations for a base price of $24/year, with multi-year discounts.

You do not need to register your domain name with us to have a web hosting account with us. Domain names and web hosting are two separate services.

Most sites require only the ARTIST package - using the above analogy, it’s our “studio apartment”.  The MEZZO hosting package is people who need more space and our BASIC package is commonly used by businesses. For larger employers we suggest our DELUXE hosting package.
