Clam AntiVirus is an open-source anti virus email scanning program installed on New Winnipeg's servers. The main purpose of this software is the integration with mail servers (attachment scanning). Clam AntiVirus provides a flexible and scalable multi-threaded daemon, a command line scanner, and a tool for automatic updating via the Internet.

Clam AntiVirus relies on a shared virus database with over 30,000 viruses, worms and trojans on file. Most importantly, this database is kept up to date.

If a virus makes its way past ClamAV, you can add to the ClamAV database by clicking on the ClamAV icon (like the image on this page) in your Control Panel.
